Overview
Dr. Hill earned a Ph.D. and master's degree in Information Studies at Florida State University's College of Information. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Exceptional Student Education at Florida Atlantic University.
Interests
Research Interests
Dr. Hill's research interests involve examining a variety of library education issues in the areas of school library media and LIS programs. With regard to school libraries, she is especially interested in researching the topic of culturally competent library and information service provision.
Teaching Interests
Dr. Hill has taught a variety of courses related to Information Studies in general and School Library Media specifically. These courses include Design & Production of Media Resources, Information Seeking, Technical Communication, Research Methods, and Literacy through School Libraries. She designed a course titled Library and Information Services to K-12 Students with Disabilities. Dr. Hill is currently the instructor and faculty supervisor for students completing School Media practicum experiences.
