Overview
Gabriel Mugar is a second year doctoral student researching neighborhood social networking and peer-to-peer living websites. His research seeks to understand how these websites promote visbility and transaction of local assets.
Gabriel has a background in video production, education, and nonprofit work. He was a High School teacher in the Boston Public Schools and is the founder of Press Pass TV Inc, a Boston, Massachusetts-based nonprofit that engages youth in the production of civic minded video journalism. He has produced a number of segments for the international news network Current TV and has had his footage featured on ABC, NBC, FOX, and CNN. Gabriel recieved his B.A. in Philosophy and Religion from Boston University, and his M.A. in Media, Culture, and Communication from New York University.
