Overview
I am a PhD candidate at the iSchool in Syracuse University. I have a Masters in Information Management from the iSchool at Syracuse University and a bachelor’s in Communication with focus on Advertising from the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana, UNITEC in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. I am interested in Social Movements and Transnational Networks and their use of Information and Communications Technology (Social Media, Collaborative Technologies, Geographically Distributed Collaboration) in political processes. In particular, the Resistencia Hondureña Social movement and their use of collaborative technologies and social media to communicate, organize and mobilize in the context of the Honduran constitutional crisis of 2009.

I am interested in Social Movements and Transnational Networks and their use of Information and Communications Technology (Social Media, Collaborative Technologies, Geographically Distributed Collaboration) in political processes. In particular, I would like to study the Resistencia Hondureña Social movement and their use of collaborative technologies and social media to communicate, organize and mobilize in the context of the Honduran constitutional crisis of 2009.
In addition, I am interested in the socio-technical aspects of virtual iorganizations, and the role of information and communication technology in international development.
